Big Band Jazz Day

A day to relax and enjoy playing some fantastic big band music with leading saxophonist Mick Allport. We’re delighted that Mick has found time to bring his special brand of excitement to Lincoln. An experienced and dynamic teacher and player, Mick improves your use of intonation, articulation, phrasing and dynamics and if the fancy takes you, there will be a chance to try some improvisation. Think you can’t do it? Then you haven’t met Mick!

Trumpets, trombones, saxophones, keyboards,clarinets, flutes, bassoons, drums, percussion….whatever instrument you play just bring it along and Mick will have a part for you to play

Big Band Jazz Day

Red Lemon music events are specially designed for players aged 18 and over. If you're looking for some enjoyable ensemble playing, some good music and the chance to get to know other players come and join us in one of our workshops.

If you're a seasoned player or you haven't played since your school days and would like to play again then this is the place for you. If you have learned to play as an adult and want to learn new skills then you'll be right at home.

We can offer you a warm welcome to a friendly environment where you can relax and enjoy the pleasure of playing.

No transposition skills are required as transposed parts can be provided.
